What's New for 2023?

It has become abundantly clear that the best time for me in the writing world is in winter. The early sunsets, the long nights, the poor weather... they all do wonders for keeping me indoors and working on my books. Every year I pay for this site, and every year (around January and February) I tell myself I'll spend more time on this site and keep it more up to date. I'm not going to tell myself that this year. There's no point!

While I'm always working on my writing in one way or another, my ability to keep readers abreast of developments is not a strong point. I see a lot of authors do it, but I don't know how much people look forward to it. I like to write, and I like to be out and about. If I spend a lot of time doing anything else then the writing and the walking just doesn't get done. Speaking of writing... I'm getting close to completion of The Dead and the Rotten. Now, when I say close, we're talking within months, not days. The story is written, the main plot points feel like they're nailed down, and I'm reading through again and again to make any changes necessary before going to self publish. Momentum is good this time of year. I even made a trailer for the new book!

Beyond The Dead and the Rotten, I've written an enormous amount of notes for Delvers of the Domed Marvel and The Unspeakable Below. I'm undecided on which to do next but I'm 70% sure it'll be Unspeakable. A bunch of notes have also been scrawled down for other tales. Believe it or not, there's a full story around for Marigold, from beginning to end. Perhaps one day all of those stories will readable!
